Misc Diecast Purchases

Over the last couple of months, I have received some smallish parcels from fellow New Zealand collectors who I either purchased items from, or worked out trades with. Each purchase was never enough on its own to blog about, but I have now reached a point where it is time to show off the "new" arrivals.

Thanks to my good mate in the capital city, who helped me obtain the remaining Matchbox Best Off cars that I was missing when I opened up a sealed case only to find the expected complete set was not present.

Also thanks to my good mate in the capital city, a couple of older Treasure Hunts that he was selling (though I missed out on the 2012-2016 Super Treasure Hunts I was really after).

From HWCNZ, I was able to purchase the 2016 K case BMW Super Treasure Hunt for a reasonable price with postage since I was out of the country when the cases hit local stores and was not able to obtain in the single sealed case I was able to look at.

At the same time I was organising a purchase of the K case BMW Super Treasure Hunt, I was also organising a trade with a local collector - a set of the recently released Car Culture Japan Historics for a couple of spare Super Treasure Hunts, including another K case BMW.

One of the regular importers on the New Zealand Hot Wheels Facebook group advertised his late arrival of the last Heritage Red Line mix, and I asked for the Chevy Blazer and the Corvette to be put aside, later adding the Nova Station Wagon when the seller also listed some older mainline Hot Wheels that I took an interest in.

The final arrival included some older Nascar Hot Wheels that I have been curious over for a while now and one older Greenlight item.

  1. I'm loving that Silver M1, looks great as does the Corvette redline. Wow, didn't know that existed. Is the NZ Facebook page open for new members? :-)

    1. The Facebook Group is always open for new members, though you need to apply to the admin team as its a closed group. I am not an admin so can't help - there are probably a few NZ HW Groups, so this is the URL I use https://www.facebook.com/groups/219462778084217/
