Hot Wheels 2016 L Case

Entering the long holiday weekend, reports from the North Island of New Zealand started to arrive that 2016 Hot Wheels L cases were beginning to be found. Expecting the South Island to be a week or so being has per the last few case releases, it was with surprise that I woke up to find a report that L cases had been found locally.

So while out getting some food for the week, I decided to stop in my very small local store and see what they had on the pegs and was very surprised to see that they had L case on the pegs, along with K and L case boxes up on the overstock areas. The pegs had already been raided of the cars I was after, but the boxes were still sealed.

A quick check later (after getting the ok from a nearby worker), I had the K and L case boxes open and a small pile of cars that I wanted to purchase nearby.

Unlike the K case, the L case assortment had three new models based in real cars I was interested in, along with another repaint in the Speed Graphics line. As expected the sealed cases did not hold any super treasure hunts, but it was nice to think that I had a small chance of finding one.

Roll on the M, N, P and Q cases ... and then 2017 cars!
