Hot Wheels 2016 K Case

In the days before leaving for my holiday to Hong Kong, reports of the K case started to come in including many reports of the Super Treasure Hunt being reasonably easy to find (if you were first to the boxes that is). I of course checked out my local stores, but found no sign of anything new.

On my return to New Zealand I turned my mobile phone back on and was greeted by several text messages from a local collector advising me that J and K case restocks had happened back home and he was lucky enough to find 6 J Case Super Batmobiles and 3 K case Super BMW's!!

As I had a few hours to kill while waiting for my plane, I decided to head to the Auckland Airport Warehouse store to check out their Hot Wheels stock. In the store I found a very full dump bin with K case cars and so started picking up the items I was interested in.

The K case was an interesting mix, with several new fantasy castings that came close to being purchased along with one that was purchased as it did resemble a real car enough, along with several repaint cars that were nice enough to be added to the purchase causing me once again to stray from my only new models rule for collecting in 2016.
As expected, any Super Treasure Hunt BMW's that could have been in the store, were already gone.
