Hong Kong Recap - Tomica

Over the next week (or two) there will be a series of blog entries regarding my finds (or lack of finds) from my recent trip to Hong Kong.

Just like Hot Wheels, I had received an advanced heads up that Tomica was everywhere in Hong Kong and upon walking into Toys R Us I could not believe that amount of space that was dedicated to the small cars. Having purchased some basic Tomica via an online store in Japan, I had decided before hand that I was was going to try and resist the temptation - I lasted 2 days before I made my first Tomica purchase and then the downward spiral began!

As the purchases continued, and I realised that I would probably have to ship some of the little cars home, I decided that I needed to start limiting the type of cars I was after to cars that I wasn't able to find in the "west" along with other random special cars - this approach allowed me to regain some control over the amount purchased (but only just).

As you can see, their were just a few cars purchased!
